Having volunteered for the amazing charity Lets Feed Brum along with many other volunteers, together we are raising awareness to the hunger and homelessness that exists today on the streets of Birmingham.

On Wednesday 28th November through to Friday 30th November 2018, two amazing volunteers will be taking part in a sleep-out to raise money and help fund a drop-in centre for the homeless, please read their story below…

Hi, my name is dan and i’m a volunteer for the great homeless charity ‘Lets Feed Brum’.
We go out in to the city center of Birmingham every evening and set up stands giving out food and hot tea and coffee.

This is not solving the problem though, there are more people on the streets than ever before and we want to help a bit more….so… me and my good friend Gary Haywood are taking to the streets in November to help raise awareness for this growing problem and for 4 nights we will be sleeping rough with no money, no phone and just a sleeping bag and blanket. we will be filming it on a cam-corder and we will be sending this to the top organizations and the council to see if they will help us in our quest of a drop in centre where people can have a shower, have a hot meal and get some donated clothes.

We are aiming for the amount of £1500 but we do understand the other good causes people are raising money for, so we are really appreciative of any donation.
